Watch SCOPIC fly through a modern
office fit-out by Anchorpoint interiors.
Below, we explain 3 reasons these videos
are so irresistibly popular online.
Continous Takes

Let’s begin by considering how racing highlights are a spectacle; editors bring the pristine moments of a race into one dense reel, it’s all faultless racing lines and courageous overtakes, designed to ignite passion and awe in a viewer.
Now instead, stick with one driver for an unbroken lap. Share their perspective for one circuit and feel yourself as a viewer being pulled into the moment. The continuous motion is gripping, and as a viewer you begin to view the track in a new way, observing shapes and details as you make your own predictions about the ideal route.
Somewhere between satisfaction and exhilaration, the drone flythrough mimics the POV race camera in a way an audience cannot peel themselves from. Even if it’s just to consider “I would’ve taken that turning”, or “I could’ve flown through that gap”, the eyes are fixed, and the engagement is growing.
Visual Satisfaction
Which brings us onto visual satisfaction. The raw flight could never be quite as seamlessly smooth as the video displays for many pilots, but the smooth motion produced in post-production is fixating.
A drone flythrough crosses over with machine press videos and infinite loop graphic renders in their captivation. Yet there’s rarely a greater reason to crush a box of crayons beneath a hydraulic press except visual pleasure, whereas a drone fly-through communicates valuable information about a location: project scale, design inspiration, capability showcasing, variation of design decisions.
In this example for Anchorpoint, the fly-through acts as a condensed case study, maximised due to reason number three:

Location
There really is no replacement for the right location, and just like a popular racetrack this massive office boasts twists and turns to elevate the motion, while proudly displaying that Anchorpoint haven’t missed a single trick. Every second of footage is evidence of the thorough work and cohesive design in this space. Drone flythrough videos seem to come into their own in these vast locations.
That being said, witness the way they work in a smaller space in this flythrough of our very own SCOPIC HQ. The video much shorter, the turns much tighter, but the effect just as captivating.
